The other day we entered the Tibidabo park without having paid, although we could not go up to the attractions, of course. As we walked we could see the happy faces of the children while we contemplated the spectacular Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Tibidabo. Not only are the views beautiful, but the park, the oldest in Spain, is very graceful.
The first attraction we saw was the Tibidabo plane, one of the most mythical and oldest in the park. If you walk a bit, we can go to the Caorrousel, which looks like a movie, and right in front there are some chairs and tables where you can sit and contemplate the views and also some telescopes, although you have to pay 1 euro to use them. The Ferris wheel and the Tibidabo pendulum are also on this level of the park. You cannot access the next level without paying, where the bumper cars and the passage of terror are located.
In this way we decided to approach the temple, which has two levels: one where the main entrance is located and another level that is accessed by climbing the side stairs. On the second level there is a viewpoint with better views than the amusement park from where you can see the pendulum attraction. The interior of the temple on this second level is also more beautiful.
In short, it is highly recommended to go up to Tibidabo to enjoy the views (the best in the city, without a doubt) and a fun day if you like “strong” emotions, since most attractions include climbing high, such as the Ferris wheel, pendulum, plane … The entrance fee to the park is € 25.20 per person, although there is a 2×1 with the youth card.
Regarding the park, this time I did not go up to the attractions, but I recommend, at other times, the roller coaster, the ferris wheel if you do not have vertigo, the hurricane condor if you want stronger emotions and the pendulum if you want to be in highest part of Barcelona (I was scared to death of how high it was).
